I love a good wedding day at Heart of Grace Farm in London, Ky and I started off a three weddings in a row spree here with Will and Mallory’s day! Mallory found me through social media and as we continued getting to know each other I knew she was my kind of bride, which was proven on their big day. Due to this couple living hours away for school I didn’t get to meet them in person or capture their engagement beforehand. While I alway prefer this, I was not disappointed as they were the kindest people. Mallory and Will were SO sweet and in love, plus everyone was so welcoming!! They really had surrounded themselves with the best community of people which was so evident on this whimsical, classic wedding day, with soft summer colors.
When I made my way up the impressive steps at Heart of Grace, I heard a soundtrack filled with nostalgia and disney throwbacks playing, which seemed like the best way to start off getting ready with your best girls. I finally got to meet Mallory in person and she was such a beautiful bride! This couple was definitely detail oriented. Along with the typical items Mallory included a Bible to pair with her details and I loved how faith was intertwined throughout the day. When I say Mallory is a bride after my own heart, I mean it!!! She had the CUTEST custom converse with bride and her new last name bejeweled on the tags, with silky laces serving as her something blue. Another unique touch were the dainty dresses Mallory and her girls got ready in, I loved this sweet idea and way to switch it up. When it was time for Mallory to get into her dress emotions were high from the looks she and her mom exchanged to the first look with her dad. When Mallory’s maid of honor helped fasten her bracelet they got a little teary-eyed. I could’ve myself as this sweet moment reminded me of myself and my own bestie. People are something I cherish and I couldn’t help notice Mallory did the same… IMO you can never be too sappy. Meanwhile Will was starting his day off right too, with “gameday” style entrances with his boys. His mom helped him with finishing touches like his boutonniere and he exchanged gifts with his parents too.
After some bridesmaids and groomsmen photos, it was time for the ceremony. To my amusement a Cain song was playing as I approached the ceremony site, another hint this day was right up my alley. The words spoken and every part continued to honor their foundation of faith in Christ. Mallory and Will took part in communion and a favorite moment of mine was when the officiant had their parents and families surround them in prayer after. Will had his own plans in store as well and surprised Mallory by singing their first dance song in the ceremony with the musical help of some of his groomsmen. His sincerity showed then in the same way he looked so awestruck seeing Mallory walk down the hill and toward the aisle.
Every detail continued to be intentional even into the reception. Their seating chart was in the form of envelopes tying in the color palette and addressed to each guest. And the sage green vintage car they rented– that literally could not match the day any more perfectly– stole the show at sunset photos. Mallory’s converse sticking out the window was a whole vibe I just can’t get over. In every interaction love was literally written all over their faces. I’ve already bragged on the people and community that came together, but the speeches were really on another level of sincerity. Mallory’s best friend shared how she spent time wondering if any guy would ever be enough for her friend in the past. They dreamed of doing each season together and having double dates for the rest of their lives. Laughter erupted across the room as she exclaimed “their dream came true now” since they married best friends, referring to Will and her own husband. Will’s brother also gave a speech complete with marriage advice for his younger brother and more adoration for this lovely couple. The night ended with more dancing under the sparkling twinkle lights and a sparkler exit to the getaway car…cue Taylor Swift.
A wedding with Cain, Converse, and a vintage Car, is quite literally what my dreams are made of!! Thank you Mallory and Will for trusting me to capture your day. Please enjoy some more of my favorites.
