Garden Party Kentucky Wedding at Heart of Grace

Sarah and Jackson’s wedding day took place on a beautiful spring day this April in London, Kentucky. This day was marked by blue skies with the sun breaking through in a way that matched the joyful feeling of it! The spring color palette and garden party aesthetic perfectly matched the carefree energy of this couple. I first connected with Sarah through her sister and mutual friends I knew through Campus Outreach, a college ministry I was a part of at EKU. After meeting for coffee I instantly noticed her bright smile and personality which combined into her lighthearted bubbly persona. Her go-with-the-flow mentality and ease reminded me of my own younger sister! From that coffee date on, I loved working with her and Jackson in this experience. We got to capture engagement photos at the Arboretum. After dating for a while these two were ready to wrap up their college careers as a married couple! The wedding day was nothing short of a beautiful ease, filled with all the garden-esque florals and colors to highlight a Kentucky spring.

Along with their sweet personalities, I was also so excited for Sarah and Jackson’s day because  they chose one of my favorite venues, located in London, Kentucky. Heart of Grace is the perfect Kentucky venue that’s not rustic, but rather provides a clean blank filled canvas and intentional space for your day! We started out photographing some pretty details and then Sarah getting ready with her sisters and mom. Her sweet mama had gifted each of her daughters a ring on their wedding day so it was now Sarah’s turn. Sarah’s sweet giggles and excitement lit up the room as she got ready for the most important day surrounded by the most important women in her life. I kept noting how obsessed I was with the bridesmaids dresses and colors, as the mismatched garden party and light spring colors reminded me of plans for my sister’s upcoming day. These perfectly correlated with the day and the girls looked stunning in their array of florals and colors against the backdrop of the shimmering pond and classic venue behind them. Sarah and Jackson decided against a first look, but still spent a sweet moment in prayer during their first touch before officially saying “I Do”.

Finally it was time for the ceremony, with the chairs facing the pond and the cross at the center, with the blue, pink, and yellow florals of the day framing it. Jackson’s reaction when Sarah walked down the aisle was one of the absolute SWEETEST reactions I’ve seen. They had a moment of worship during the service as well.

The reception was filled with all the wildflowers, dusty blue linen napkins, accented by floral blue tablecloths. Sarah and Jackson had the best time as their family and friends filled up the dance floor. In a grand finale, guests spilled out the barn doors onto the lawn for the sparkler and bubble send-off. The combined elements made for an extra dreamy exit!!

Sarah and Jackson, thank you so much for having me capture your beautiful day!!!
