When Bethany first contacted me, I was so excited, as I’d been hoping she would do just that! I’d been following Bethany for awhile and thought she had the cutest style. So, when I saw that Josh proposed to her with an intimate rose petal and candle set-up at my favorite coffee shop, Purdy’s, I was secretly hoping she might reach out. Our paths had actually crossed years before when I life-guarded at the pool her family frequented. It’s such a small world and funny how things work out!
From our first coffee meeting at no other than Purdy’s, I knew they were dream clients!!!! Sometimes things just click and I’m so happy they chose me to capture their day. Now they are living in Nashville and planning to open a coffee shop. I SO admire that, as that’s something I’ve only dreamed of doing (coffee is one of my many passions). I can’t wait to visit their coffee shop while in Nashville sometime in the future!
On their wedding day, Bethany and Josh were troopers. It was a little windy during their portraits, but they stuck it out and we got some epic shots because of it! Another cool thing, you might not notice looking at these photos is that the first-look was in the one car garage of their Air Bnb, but those ended up being some of my favorite images of the day! Bethany knew she wanted a studio look for her first look and we struggled to come up with a place nearby. She sent me a picture of this garage and we made it work by adding curtains and red rose petals. It ended up being so sweet and perfect! Then the power went out at the venue before the ceremony, but I think it ended up making it more intimate and they were prepared with beautiful candles. It didn’t phase Bethany and Josh, and they continued to enjoy the most important part of the day — their love for each other and marriage.
I was so blessed to work alongside of some wonderful vendors at this wedding:
