Senior Rep Meet & Greet Class of 2022 – With a Touch of Tie-Dye

Rewind to 2020…. I had so many dreams and ideas swirling around in my head, but that was also combined with my many passions. So during my first year of teaching middle school, I decided to take a break from doing a senior rep team for the class of 2021. That decision was also influenced by the fact were were in the middle of a nationwide pandemic — I wasn’t sure what a team would look like. Would I be able to do group shoots? Would everything get canceled again because of Covid? It seemed too risky at the time and I chose to focus my time and energy on surviving teaching.

Now my time and energy has shifted and my LWP Senior Rep Team is back and better than ever for the class of 2022! I learned so much prior to this from my first two teams of wonderful girls, and I banked some ideas I didn’t get to use in 2020. One such idea, was a tie-dye themed shoot, which you see here. I envisioned it for the meet and greet with a naturey/outside feel, but a tie-dye studio style backdrop. With the tie-dyed sheet hung clothesline style, I think we achieved just that. If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a million times. I LOVE watching my visions come to life. Plus after saving this one for a year, I wasn’t sure how long tie-dye was going to remain in style, so I had to act fast. It all came together as the excitement built and the girls started sending me their outfits and everything.

As fun as a good theme is, at the end of the day, that’s not what this meet and greet was really about at all. It’s about the beginnings. The beginning of senior year. The beginning of friendships. The beginning of relationships with Jesus. The beginning of the rest of a life. The beginning of a future. Oh and also the beginning of themed photoshoots galore to memorize your senior year. That too.

It was about meeting new faces who were a little nervous, but excited. It’s about the girl that hugged me at the end and thanked me for this opportunity. I love all my clients and couples, but this right here is what it’s all about. I would say these senior girls are where my heart is. It’s such a pivotal time in their lives, and the relationships that outlast any of the photos mean so much to me.

Thank you Jesus for this team and for these girls, for the friendships that are about to be formed, and all that the year ahead holds. I pray you are present in all of it.

So friends, please enjoy some of my favorites for the Meet & Greet and allow me to introduce you to the LWP Senior Rep Team, Class of 2022!!!! They already hold a special place in my heart. Some of them I’ve known through church over the years, some are friends, and one of them is even family. Others are completely new friends, or girls I’ve known at a distance. And I am so happy each of them applied and felt drawn to be apart of this team!
