Where to begin with these two? When I started my photography business in high school six years ago, Autumn and Andrew were one of my very first couple shoots. So when I saw they were engaged, I was just hoping Autumn might reach out… well she did! As a photographer, I think it means so much when people trust you from the beginning and almost grow with you. Autumn and Andrew were high school sweethearts who met in health class. Andrew was considering dropping the class until something, or someone more specifically convinced him to stay. Now here we are, all these years later!
Fast forward to the big day, Autumn and Andrew had a quaint, timeless wedding at the historic Boone Tavern in Berea. The ceremony was intimate, with around sixty guests gathered in the beautiful courtyard area. Autumn described her favorite part as “walking down the aisle to Andrew since that was the moment I had dreamed about for so long!”
One of my favorite parts of the day was the little ice cream break we took before doing more portraits after family photos. While beautiful, this day was definitely hot. So my new philosophy is if the bride and groom want ice cream, they get ice cream. While they took a moment to soak in that just married feeling and relax, I ventured over to the local Fudge Shop to get some picture worthy cones.
The day came to an end with more portraits in the dreamiest light, and a reception in Boone Tavern’s event space. The dinner was delicious, as it always is there. Friends and family joined Autumn and Andrew for some dancing and toasts to wrap up the perfect day.
Autumn and Andrew, I truly cannot thank you enough for allowing me to capture these moments! Thank you for welcoming me into this season and making it feel as though no time had passed since our high school friendship and memories.
